We see the hope and potential in every young person

Vision Statement

We are committed to reaching youth by offering programs and developing friendships that nurture the whole person – physically, mentally, emotionally, socially and spiritually. We are dedicated to seeing young people have the opportunity to make an informed decision to become a follower of Jesus Christ and become a part of a local church

Our Primary Goal is “To bring all youth into a life-long relationship with Jesus”

10 YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN OVERVIEW

Anti-authority, violence, teen pregnancy, and addictions are just some of the realities with todays youth culture. These realities will only be reduced by the power of God in their lives. This is why our goal is “To bring all youth into a life long relationship with Jesus.”

The complexity of this goal is its magnitude. In the Waterloo Region and Brant County there are approximately eighty thousand youth aged eight to eighteen. This document outlines the three synchronized strategies that form the impetus of this plan. These strategies are:

  • – a four point strategic initiative
  • – a growing partnership model
  • – an extensive geographic expansion.

The four point strategic plan is summarized in the diagram below

Youth For Christ/Youth Unlimited cannot attain a high level of success in teaching, mentoring and especially unleashing all of the youth on its own. This led to the development of the partnership model. This model is comprised of ten partnerships as seen in the diagram on the next page. These partnerships will provide greater coverage as well as be excellent resources in each of the strategic initiatives.

The third strategy to Reach all youth is through geographic expansion. The expanded number of geographic locations in conjunction with the strategic initiatives and partnerships will exponentially increase the Reach to the youth, so that teaching, mentoring and unleashing can take place. The unleashed youth will then Reach, Teach and Mentor. Over time this will create a paradigm shift among mature youth as they move from a “me centered” to a “God centered” lifestyle.

The following diagram visually defines how each strategy works in conjunction with the other strategies to achieve the goal of bringing all youth into a life-long relationship with Jesus. The strategy is to develop partnerships in an expanded geographic area in order to effectively reach, teach, mentor and unleash the youth into a life-long relationship with Jesus.
